The mystical Caves of Hella - are they the Oldest Man-made Structure in Iceland

In the southern part of Iceland, from Ölfus to Vík, you will find ancient caves that are very easily accessible. In this area, more than a hundred man-made caves have been discovered. The best-known of these caves are the mystical Ægissíðuhellar - Hellarnir á Hellu - the Caves of Hella. They are among the largest man-made caves in Iceland.
